Synopsis
The British Museum houses a precious artifact, the remains of a Sumerian female attendant to the priestess Puabi. Priestess Puabi and her attendants lived around 2600 BCE in the city of Ur, a significant site in Sumerian civilization. While the arrangement of the attendant's accessories is a subject of scholarly debate, it has made it challenging to accurately reconstruct the appearance and significance of this historical figure, particularly regarding her clothing and textiles. To better present and understand this piece of history, I employed 3D technology to reconstruct the attendant's appearance and created an augmented reality (AR) project. This allows viewers to immerse themselves in the ancient past through digital technology. This project not only breathes new life into the artifact but also provides a novel interactive experience for modern audiences.
